Those of you who communicate with us via Facebook know that yesterday we asked for prayers for the baby girl of friends of ours.
The Kelley's are also part of Samaritan's Purse Post Residency program. They moved to Tenwek hospital in Kenya in January. Shortly after they arrived, their daughter, Hannah, not yet a year old, started having symptoms they couldn't treat. Earlier this week she was admitted to the hospital because she was losing so much weight. Yesterday she crashed and was having seizures She was diagnosed with a brain tumor and rushed to a nearby hospital where a pediatric neurosurgeon operated on her.
She came through the surgery, but, early this morning, sweet baby Hannah went to be with the Lord.
Her parents were at her side.
Please pray for the Kelley's. Any family with an ill child has obvious difficulty, but a medical family has the unfortunate aspect of guilt always associated with it. Please pray for protection and peace for Aaron, Stephanie, their 3 boys, their friends in Kenya who are supporting them, and their family and friends in the states who are having to grieve from afar.
To say Aaron's posts yesterday and today were moving is quite an understatement.
